DevOps Engineer

We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to collaborate with one of our clients, a modern insurance company.

The main responsibilities will involve the setup, maintenance, and enhancement of development environments and application deployments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and system automation, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

In this position, you will:

• establish and manage development environments for both front-end and back-end applications
• collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs, ensure seamless data fetching and efficient deployment strategies
• design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes
• update and configure architecture according to the provided proposal (e.g., AWS Glue, Athena/Snowflake)
• configure queue management systems like SQS or Redis
• prepare deployment environments considering worst-case scenarios
• configure and maintain logging systems (e.g., Cloud Watch, Datadog, Solaris Observability, Open Telemetry SDK, Sentry)
• implement metrics and visualization tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry SDK)
• develop and execute performance tests for both backend and frontend projects and integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline
• document high-level system designs, deployment diagrams, and update README files
• maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture and processes
• schedule and manage periodic email generation and support backend developers in integrating email templates and logging sent emails

• proven experience as a DevOps Engineer
• strong expertise in cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and infrastructure management
• proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
• experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, Artillery.io)
• excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• strong communication and collaboration abilities
• excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
