Backend Developer

We are currently looking for a talented Backend Developer to collaborate with one of our clients, a modern insurance company.

As they continue to grow dynamically, they seek professionals to support their team in this critical role. You will be responsible for integrating APIs, managing databases, and ensuring the seamless operation of the projects assigned. Collaborating with front-end developers, API providers, and other stakeholders will be essential to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

In this position, you will:

• design and build advanced web applications using state-of-the-art technologies
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• integrate and work with external APIs and data sources
• perform automated tests to ensure usability, robustness, and reliability
• improve application performance and resolve bugs
• implement functionality to send scheduled emails
• continuously evaluate, discover, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency

We are looking for individuals who possess:

• strong proficiency in Python programming
• experience with frameworks such as FastApi
• extensive experience with Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and AWS IAM
• experience in developing and managing RESTful APIs
• knowledge of API security, including authentication and authorization
• proficiency in writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
• familiarity with testing frameworks such as unit test, pytest, and nose
• ability to measure and ensure high test coverage using tools like coverage.py
• experience with mocking and stubbing external services using libraries like unittest.mock and moto
• knowledge of performance testing tools like locust or JMeter
• understanding of BDD principles and experience with frameworks like behave or pytest-bdd
• experience with static code analysis tools like pylint, flake8, or mypy
• experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline
• understanding of security best practices, especially in the context of AWS services and data handling
• strong command of English (min. B2), both written and spoken
