JavaScript Engineer ( Freelancer/ Consultant)

About the job:

We are looking for a skilled JavaScript Engineer to join our AI Frontend team at Opera! You are going to focus on developing and maintaining innovative, AI-driven features for our web products. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape the future of the web!

Role & Responsibilities:

• Build and implement new AI-driven functionalities for the Opera products.
• Optimize and update current features to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Tackle complex issues, providing expert technical solutions to ensure smooth operation.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and AI teams to align development with product goals.
• Conduct code reviews and foster a collaborative environment where team members actively share knowledge and ideas to drive growth and innovation.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript development.
• Proficiency with React (minimum 3 years) and familiarity with state management tools like Redux.
• Knowledge of front-end build tools like Webpack, Vite, npm, or yarn.
• Experience with modern front-end testing frameworks such as Vitest or Jest.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend technologies like Node.js.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience.
• Knowledge of Software Design Patterns
