About the Team

Our Infrastructure team builds the foundation that powers everything at Opendoor. From scaling our services in AWS to streamlining developer workflows, we’re focused on creating a secure, reliable, and efficient platform to support rapid product development and delivery.

We are a lean, focused team where engineers take full ownership of their work and drive measurable outcomes. If you enjoy working with Kubernetes, IaC, and cloud technologies, and want to grow in a fast-moving, high-impact environment - this role is for you.

We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong cloud engineering experience, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to improve system reliability and developer velocity.

Here’s what you’ll be up to:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on AWS
• Contribute to the evolution of our Kubernetes (EKS) platform and deployment workflows
• Write and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar tools
• Collaborate with application and platform teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve system performance
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or CloudWatch
• Help drive a DevOps culture by promoting automation, reliability, and repeatability
• Participate in architecture reviews, incident response, and capacity planning
• Stay informed about cloud infrastructure trends and suggest improvements to enhance stability and efficiency

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability roles
• Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, etc.)
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production environments
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g.,Go, Bash, Python)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and working in microservices architectures
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and observability best practices
• Bonus: Exposure to GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or service meshes like Istio
