Functional Safety Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Support and follow-up on safety activities in specific projects
• Support on creation and review functional safety related work products
• Work on development and support on implementation of a safety culture that supports and encourages effective implementation of functional safety
• Work on development and support on implementation of adequate organization specific processes to achieve functional safety
• Continuous improvement of functional safety related skills, processes, methods, and tools

Skills & Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems / Computing / Software Engineering or similar
• Passionate by solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way
• Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for problem-solving within projects
• Experience in a functional safety role is not required
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Capable of grasping new challenges
• Excellent collaborator and independent contributor
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines – time & project management

Bonus points:

• Experience in design and development of products, with focus on safety critical systems in automotive or industrial
• Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
