Online interview

👋 Who are we?

Nordhealth’s mission is to build software that improves the daily lives of healthcare professionals. We build software that empowers veterinary and therapy professionals to provide the best possible care experiences to their patients. Our products are used daily by over 55,000 professionals in clinics and hospitals across 30+ countries. We excel with 20+ years of experience in healthcare and veterinary software.

Vetera, as part of the Nordhealth product family, has been established as the leading veterinary practice management software provider in the DACH region. Vetera products are currently serving more than 2,000 veterinary practices, clinics, and partners throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Our goal is to make everyday practice and clinic work efficient in times of increasing digitization, to enable veterinarians to communicate with their customers in multiple ways, and at the same time to enable optimum animal welfare.

About the role

🚀 We’re now looking for a Cloud Software Developer with experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions to support our growth and join our team at Vetera

Creating great products is at our very core, but it’s the people who make companies great, not the other way around. We spend more time with our co-workers than anyone else in our lives. Being part of an exceptional team is not only important for your personal mindfulness but key for your professional progression.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working as a technical lead as part of a team to achieve company goals
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, deploying and quality assurance
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design
  • Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

What will help you to be successful in this role?

Ideally, you have already gained three or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions (Microservice Architecture) on Windows Azure platforms (IoT Hub, Service Bus, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Docker)

In addition, we humbly request that you hold:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or information technology
  • Three or more years of experience in C# / .NET 6.0 and newer (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core)
  • Two or more years of experience in SQL (T-SQL) and Microsoft SQL Server (Azure)
  • Three or more years of experience in developing REST APIs
  • One or more years of experience in an agile/scrum environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • One or more years of experience to lead a team
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript and React for front-end development
  • Ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn new concepts
  • Good cooperation skills and technical know-how in solving user issues

We consider a plus if you are also:

  • Comfortable with distributed version control, ideally Git
  • Experienced with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and Azure DevOps
  • Knowledgeable of GraphQL.

Any background within veterinary business is advantageous.

What’s in it for you?

At Nordhealth, we do things a little bit differently. We value continuous improvement, diverse teams and autonomy which drive our collaboration. Nordhealth operates in a rapidly changing healthcare field worldwide, and we are seeking colleagues who would be eager to be part of it.

In addition, we offer:

  • The chance to work in a meaningful industry and in a fast-growing, global company on a path to changing digital healthcare
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Learning and professional growth opportunities
  • Talented colleagues from around the world

If you enjoy working in a fast-growing and international environment with the possibility to make an impact, this might be the perfect job for you. Please send your application latest by April 10th! Looking forward to hearing from you.
