Job description

We are looking for Lead Java Developer. to IT projects for banking business. This is an opportunity for you to become a member of IT team which brings innovative services and applications for Nordea.

Your future responsibilities

You’ll join international IT team, and will work on GAI 2.0 project. GAI is a functionally rich critical component in the Group Finance accounting process that takes raw transaction data from source systems and ensures accounting integrity. It drives the data towards SAP Group GL and provides all the accounting data for CDW

GAI 2.0 Initiative is to replace the existing GAI based on mainframe with new technology solution based on Hadoop, Weblogic Java and Oracle DB

What you’ll be doing:
  • Be the role model and lead Java developer
  • driving team's development decisions in key technical areas
  • ensuring best possible development roadmap, future proof designs
  • active participation in team's meetings and workshops
  • supporting less experienced developers with guidance
  • supporting agile practices
  • taking part in development efforts
  • ensuring technical documentation is maintained and consistent
 
The role is based in Gdańsk (possibly Gdynia in future). Welcome to young and dynamic team, which is working in agile way on software solutions for banking.

Your profile and background:
  • Java EE expertise (7-8 years or experience with Java/Spring)
  • Architecture knowledge 
  • Linux expertise 
  • WebLogic
  • DevOps Version handling and deployment tools (Maven) 
  • Like to use Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo)
  • Uses: Git, IntelliJ 
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills in English
