The team you’ll be part of
is responsible for starting Linux on embedded platform. This includes preloaders (SoC specific implementation, U-Boot/SPL) and initial Linux configuration (SW and HW). We are responsible for low level drivers based on U-Boot/Linux frameworks like GPIO, I2C, SPI and other HW specific interfaces. We also deliver Linux low level user space application/libraries (e.g. spi lib) for other components written in C/C++. 

What you will learn and contribute to
  • Developing, and implementing software utilizing the latest software best practices
  • Analyzing and solving complex engineering problems and hitches in U-Boot and Linux area
  • Occasional participation in creating and reviewing requirements for functional, design and interface specifications based on system and HW specifications
 
Your skills and experience
You have:
  • Good knowledge of C language
  • Solid code analysis skills
  • Knowledge of embedded system concepts
  • Knowledge of U-Boot and Linux
  • Experience with Linux kernel drivers and internal frameworks
  • Experience with U-Boot/SPL internals: Driver Model, configuration, usage
  • Experience with Device Tree
  • Knowledge of basic HW interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO
  • Basic knowledge of network interfaces
  • Version control systems (Git)
  • Basic Yocto usage
  • Good communication in English (both written and spoken)
  • Drive to learn

It would be nice if you have:
  • Experience in programming various devices: power sequencers, watchdogs, sensors
  • Experience with Yocto BSP layer
  • Experience with ARM cores (A9, A5X)
  • Experience with Xilinx SDK, FSBL for Zynqmp SoCs
  • Experience with Intel Stratix S10
  • Experience with Bash and Python
