    The team you’ll be part of

    As part of the IP and Optical Networks (Network Infrastructure) Customer Engineering, Regional Engineering Delivery Hub organization, the purpose of this role is to actively contribute to New Product Introduction, Validation and Verification tasks across the EMEA region.

    Optimizing the process of validation and testing of optical transmission solutions through standardization and automation is one of the pillars and tasks of the Regional Engineering Delivery team.

    One of RED's tasks is to implement the system of automatic execution and verification of test results to increase the credibility and quality of our optical solutions.

    As part of our team, you will:

    • Plan, execute and report the results of Validation, Verification and Acceptance of new releases of the Nokia Optical Products and Solutions
    • Define and execute demos, proofs of concept, type approvals tests, field trials and in general any New Product Introduction (NPI) activity with our customers for any new product or solution
    • Create, review and approve Methods of Procedures prior to implementation of the new solutions
    • Support major initial networks deployments across the EMEA region
    • Implement automation and standardization for the regression tests of new release
    • Develop custom test library for Robot Framework acceptance testing automation using Robot and Selenium by implementing custom keywords according to provided requirements, along with thorough unit testing


    Your skills and experience

    You have knowledge in:

    • Optical transport technologies (WDM, MPLS-TP, SDH) including troubleshooting, problem solving (experience with Nokia Network Infrastructure portfolio would be an advantage) – 3+ years of experience
    • Testing and maintaining DWDM networks including testing all the performance parameters, designing new networks and understanding OTN concept.
    • Understanding of TCMS concept (Test Case Management System) ie TestLink or other (Jira X-Ray, Zephir etc)
    • Fluency in English (at least B2), other languages fluency would be considered as a plus


    It would be nice if you also had:

    • Robot framework, Selenium, pytest, Git, basic HTML, understanding of DOM, Linux, TestLink knowledge would be considered as a significant plus
    • Basic HTML concept knowledge
    • Understanding of DOM
    • Basic Linux (bash)
    • Git
    • Python 3.x, pytest
