WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our newly formed Nike Technology Center in Gdansk, Poland. You have a deep understanding of the AWS, Azure or GCP technologies including server-less services, and can deal with ambiguous requirements and quickly changing directions. You’re highly motivated, passionate about continuous learning and excel in team collaboration. You’re familiar with GitHub, JIRA, Scrum Methodology, test-driven development and are passionate about building cloud native platforms that are highly resilient and can scale with the demand of business.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated and hungry to be developing global platforms that completely transform how Nike employees around the world search, explore, access and use enterprise data. This requires a mindset that is ready to learn cutting edge technologies and toolsets, and capable of teaching/coaching other team members so that the team’s collective acumen is constantly growing. Ideal candidate should a have track record of experience with graph database implementations at a large or global scale with very high responsiveness & performance requirements.Additionally, she/he must have a high degree of technical and intellectual curiosity and be able to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) the reasoning, direction and technical strategy for future flexibility.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
As a member of the Data Fabric Platform team you will help make Nike’s petabyte-scale data assets discoverable, trusted, secure, compliant and useful. Platform teams have a lot of freedom to determine the best technologies. You’ll be working in a microservices environment that already uses Java, Golang, Python/Flask,JavaScript/React, Spark, Kafka and an impressively long list of AWS services. If you’re experienced with graph databases that’s even better, because they are underlying storage mechanism.

The Data Fabric Platform is globally available, mission critical, horizontally scalable, self-healing and growing rapidly. This team and position will be at the forefront of developing capability to accelerate the accuracy of machine learning, model development, data visibility and predictive analysis. Come and join team that will be contributing to overall architecture, defining design models and deployment configurationsYour will be a contributor to overall platform architecture and framework design. You will deliver well-documented and well-tested code, participate in peer code reviews and assist in customer onboarding, support and operation of the platforms you helped to build.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will work within highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment. You are going to work with product management to support product/service scoping activities. Your role will be to prepare and share designs and constraints to stakeholders and technical teams and work with product owner to help defining delivery schedules of key features in an agile fashion. You will work and coordinate with security teams in the European Union to ensure that Secure by Design and Privacy by Design principles are continually met. You may share backlogs with global teams, requiring great communication skills and providing concise, thorough documentation.
