THE ROLE

We’re looking for experienced Test Engineers who thrive within small project teams, but can also add value to the wider business. Learning is continuous in our growing function and there’s plenty of scope to have an impact on the operation meaning your work can be varied and exciting. It needs someone with the desire to work on award-winning software. Someone with real enthusiasm for what they do. Your responsibilities will be:

Designing and scoping features upfront, whilst identifying business risk
Exploring the features and products, supporting regular releases and finding ways to improve processes
Focused on your self learning, dedicated to sharing knowledge and helping other team members grow as individuals, and within the team
To champion good testing standards and practices, advocate short feedback loops and providing support to all functions who directly interact with our customers
Suggesting alternative ways of working (if and when there are better ways to get results)

THE PERSON

To thrive here, you’ll be an advocate for change, champion collaboration and have the sound commercial judgement to match. Above all, you’ll be up to the challenge of producing the best level of testing every day. We are looking for a skilled web-tester with:

Wide experience within testing (exploratory or automation)
Experience of test management, planning, estimation, and test data management
Knowledge of Exploratory Testing, how to constantly improve your skills and how to report findings clearly
A good understanding of testing within an agile environment and a preference for bug prevention over bug detection
An awareness and understanding of UX, UI, Accessibility and an appreciation of automation and load testing
Proficiency in tools such as Firebug, Fiddler, Burp Suite and browser add-ons to aid web testing
An understanding of techniques such as BDD, TDD, Three Amigos, Example Mapping and know where testers add value
A curiosity in everything that you do
