Job description
Nethone is looking for a Business Data Scientist. As a company, we specialize in fraud prevention. Nethone enables online merchants to sell more, earn more, and maximize every dollar they invest in risk management and customer acquisition.
We require
- Familiarity with SQL, Postgres-specific flavor is a plus
- Experience with data analysis and visualization
- Good understanding of statistics & machine learning methods
- Fluent command of Python for data science (pandas, numpy, etc.)
- Understanding of both technical and business languages
- At least 2 years of professional experience, we welcome more experienced candidates as well
- Very good command of English
- Ability to communicate with B2B clients about technical aspects of data science
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in software development (especially in Python)
- Expertise in machine or deep learning
- Experience in credit scoring or fraud detection
What will you do
- Dissect data, look for hints of fraudulent activity
- Suggest and co-develop new model features
- Infer from data how to fight payment fraud
- Protect satellites from being hijacked (really!)
- Train & evaluate machine learning models
- Present your findings to Nethone’s clients
- You’ll be a part of a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers and Python developers
