Job description

Online interview
We are looking for an experienced Technical solutions engineer (m/f) for our software engineering team.
This specific job focuses on integration of different data sources from our customers via secure connections.

Navigance is a corporate startup and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Clariant SE, a leading specialty chemicals company.

The product is a cloud-based service for providing insights & recommendation into chemical plant data.
We have customers around the globe, focused in North America, China and Europe - so we run global deployments.

Think about it as a specialized "dashboard" that:
  • presents current sensor data in a visual way
  • provides recommendations, based on online and offline analytics
  • provides insight into historical plant data
  • collects feedback from process engineers in the plant

Our goal is to make the production process as efficient as possible - and by that minimize greenhouse gas emissions!
Check the project's homepage, if you want to learn more: https://navigance.com.

The software engineering team works 100% remotely, with open communication and transparency focus. It is essential, that you're comfortable with this kind of work, if you are considering joining us.

Since the product and the data science teams are located in Munich Germany, we organise in-person gatherings & workshop every 6-8 weeks, or whenever an important engineering subject needs to be discussed. The engineering team is focused in the Tricity area, so vicinity to their can be beneficial.  Right now, due to COVID19 travel restrictions, these are (of course) all virtual.

An ideal candidate would have:

  • A track record of solution-oriented full-stack, or software engineering roles.
  • Experience with certificates management, VPN and/or IPSEC.
  • Experience with integration / configuration of embedded industrial devices.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments, including container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and a goal-driven attitude.
  • Good understanding of Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Comfortable working in English as the primary business language.

What we offer:

  • A quickly growing greenfield project in a unique domain (chemical engineering).
  • Ability to impact all aspects of the architecture.
  • A relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a "corporate startup".
  • Competitive salary in EUR (B2B).
  • Flexibility with good work-life balance
