Job Description

As an engineer in Cleverbridge’s Cloud Platform Team, you will be responsible for the AWS environment. You will provide the base infrastructure and shared services for this environment. You will also create standard building blocks, “blueprints”, which product teams can use to easily follow the organization’s envisioned architecture. Finally, you will advise and support DevOps Engineers in these teams.

Responsibilities

• You will design, implement, and operate the infrastructure environment and shared services that our product teams rely on.
• You will work in a highly collaborative team that lives and breathes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on AWS.
• You will create and improve blueprints for AWS services.
• You will regularly work with EKS, Gitlab CI/Atlantis, OpenSearch/ELK, RDS, Prometheus/Grafana, Gitlab, Jira and more.
• As a senior engineer, you will:
• Identify opportunities for improvement in your team’s offerings.
• Incubate ideas, develop them to maturity, and influence the roadmap accordingly.
• Lead complex implementations and coordinate involved parties to ensure success.
• Be a role model in collaborative work and team discussions.
• Conduct blameless post-mortem analyses after incidents to learn from failures.

Background

• At least 3-5 years of experience working with AWS and one of the following:
• You feel comfortable with one or more programming languages and using Version Control Systems.
• You have solid experience with IaC (Terraform or comparable) to deploy resources to a Cloud environment.
• You have prior experience in operating a 24/7 high-traffic webpage, including on-call duty.
• In addition, you are fluent in English and can confidently participate in technical discussions.

• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, Karpenter, Kyverno, persistent volumes)
• Infrastructure as Code (terraform, ansible)
• Monitoring Solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, alertmanager, OpsGenie ..)
• Logging solutions (OpenSearch, fluent-bit)
• Experience with CI / CD Tools (Atlantis, GitLabCI)
• Experience with Scripting Language (Bash, Python)
• Fluent in English
