Low power specialized team is looking for a Python developer - working on solutions for exciting projects for international customers.

Company information 

MpicoSys company was established in 2006 and designs, creates and delivers embedded products, often with epaper or Eink, one of the specialisms. The company's passion for reliable and scalable embedded technology resulted in its EPIS - World's first realtime Epaper Passenger Information System and other extremely low (or no) power, security and robust products and services that work on solar and battery or no battery at all.

Typical markets are digital signage, display labels and timing controllers. MpicoSys works with worldwide customers, partners, and suppliers.

MpicoSys operates from Gdynia, Poland, where it is based at the Pomeranian Science & Technology Park.

Your responsibilities

• Writing and testing code, debugging programs and integrating applications with third-party web services
• Write effective, scalable code
• Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
• Integrate user-facing elements into applications
• Test and debug programs
• Improve functionality of existing systems
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assess and prioritize feature requests
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
• Developing, enhancing, modifying, maintaining applications
• Managing the interchange of data between the servers and users
• Primary focus on the development of all server-side logic
• Connect various Python techniques
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end
• Become product owner in the future is an option

Our requirements

• Experience using Python of at least 2 years
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Ready for a nice second step in Python development in a highly skilled technical company with interesting small and large projects
• Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)
• Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
• Team spirit
• Good problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English (minimum is B2)
• Basic knowledge of Python methods, techniques, tools
• Experience using server-side logic and work well in a team
• Ability to make decisions, initiate actions, committed and self-dependent working-style
• Team player that shows potential for growth, high level communication, coordination and analytical skills
