Job description

Online interview

Hey! We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Web Strategy Manager. This is a high profile and visible leadership role for a leading health-tech startup based in the U.S.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing web strategy, designed to have maximum impact on lead volume coming from all web properties at the company. This role is not just about running a few A/B tests or creating a few web pages; it's about deeply understanding our customers, crafting a broader web strategy across multiple channels, and driving continuous optimization to ensure maximum engagement and conversion.

Join us in this pivotal role, and be the driving force behind our web growth and brand elevation.

Main Responsibilities

1. Drive Web Strategy and Prioritization - Carry forward and drive web strategy for maximum impact while navigating internal priorities and competing project plans. You should act as a cohesive and driving force on the team and be a web leader within the company.

2. Own Conversion Optimization - Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic CRO roadmap. Execute the day-to-day implementation and operation of conversion rate optimization initiatives across the website, landing pages, and all other web experiences. Regularly analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvements and implement changes based on A/B testing and personalization campaigns.

3. Shape Web Experiences for Maximum Impact - Lead cross-functional teams including design, development, and marketing to craft dynamic web experiences that are visually engaging, user-friendly, and primed for conversion, while leveraging AI, Personalization, data platforms and other innovative technologies.

Requirements

1. Profound Experience in Conversion Optimization - A track record of developing and executing CRO strategies, with a deep understanding of A/B testing and personalization. Expertise in at least one of the leading experimentation platforms such as Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, Google Optimize, AB Tasty, AB Smartly, or others.

2. Customer Insight Acumen - A knack for leveraging sales, marketing, and support data to gain a deep understanding of customer behaviors, needs, and preferences. Have experience, and aren't afraid to take the initiative to conduct your own interviews to dig deeper. Use those findings to craft actionable, game-changing strategies.

3. Data-Driven Mindset - Proficiency in using at least one of the leading web analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Piwik, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Posthog, Heap, Adobe Analytics, Fullstory, or others. Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and translate findings into actionable insights. Bonus points for even basic experience with a modern BI platform like Tableau, Looker, QlikSense, Power BI, Metabase, Mode, or similar.

4. Collaborative Spirit - Experience in working cross-functionally, bridging the gaps between marketing, design, and development teams to achieve common goals.

5. Strategically Driven with Execution Prowess - Possess the ability to craft a thoughtful and comprehensive CRO roadmap that aligns with company marketing and business objectives, and the hands-on skills to rigorously execute, test, and iterate on those strategies through well-designed experiments.

6. UX Sensibility - A solid understanding of UX principles and the ability to apply these principles in creating optimized web experiences.

7. Technical Familiarity - Know HTML and CSS basics to set up simple experiments in a visual editor, and understand the difference between frontend and backend well enough to chat effectively with our development teams.

8. Digital Savvy - A strong grasp of digital marketing essentials, with particular emphasis on user experience, web design principles, and conversion pathways.

8. Project Management Capability - Know how to get things done, organize and prioritize work, lead standups and retros, and articulate roadmaps to stakeholders.

10. Leadership Driven - A proven track record leading web teams is a must. Ideally 6-10 years of experience will enable you to be successful in this role. You should know how to rally a team, drive toward success and convince others of your web vision with ease.

11. Confident Communication - Last but not least! Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and advocate for user-centric strategies. In this role, you will be a visible and persuasive presence, effectively rallying support to secure internal buy-ins for key initiatives.

Bonus Points

Web marketing is a multidisciplinary career path and we recognize that many skills can be directly or indirectly related to this role, even if your previous experience isn't obviously related - just tell us a story why it matters.
