Our customer is a UK-based SaaS startup that operates in the oil markets space, who is looking for a Java Technical Lead who will become an employee #1 of the Kraków office (the office is going to be located on Krupnicza street) and who has a potential to take on the role of a CTO in the future.
We are searching for an ambitious self-starter who would be excited by an opportunity to take a senior technology role within the business and grow a team. For the right person, there could well be an equity component available as well.
The candidate should be prepared for a small amount of travel to work with our HQ based in London to spend time with the Management Team (we will be coming to Krakow too!).
Responsibilities
- being responsible for developing a cutting-edge platform including both back-end and front-end components
- developing the company’s technology strategy
- ensuring technologies are used efficiently and securely
- supporting the team members, improving the quality of the team’s performance by technical coaching
- collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators
- building, leading and expanding the software team (including participating in technical interviews and evaluating the candidates)
Requirements
- minimum 10+ years of development experience in Java and at least 3-year practice as a Team Lead
- in-depth understanding of web development and familiarity with front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. JavaScript, React)
- hands-on experience with CI/CD practices
- experience with microservice-based architecture
- familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- being able to lead the product design process
- confident working in an Agile environment
- degree in Computer Science or similar field
Would be a huge advantage
- working knowledge of Python
- ideally a good understanding of DevOps AWS Architecture design
