We're looking for a Backend Developer responsible for developing and maintaining our backend services and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will join an international team in their Krakow-based entity with Backend and Frontend Engineers who work on a property management application. It's a popular product in the UK among real estate brokers.

It's a perfect role for a Java Developer interested in starting in Node.js or for those familiar with this environment and willing to extend their expertise.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable TypeScript on Node.js code for our backend systems.
• Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and proposing solutions to these problems.
• Maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.
• Working closely with other engineers to integrate backend systems with our front-end services.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in backend development
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Node.js OR willingness to learn it from scratch
• Deep understanding of Java
• General understanding of AWS Services(the ones used in the project are CloudWatch, AppSync, SES, SQS, Cognito, CloudFormation, S3, ElasticSearch, ECS, API Gateway... but we don't expect to know all of them)
• Serverless Framework
• Nice to have: willingness to work on the frontend part of the project with React.js
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
