Senior Technical SDLC Transformation Consultant
We’re looking for a Senior Technical SDLC Transformation Consultant to support a technology transformation initiative in a mid-to-large organization.
This role is for someone with a hands-on software engineering or DevOps background who can step back, assess how software is delivered today, identify bottlenecks and risks, and recommend practical improvements across the SDLC.
You should be comfortable working with both engineering teams and senior stakeholders, combining technical credibility with consulting-style analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or similar technical roles
Strong hands-on background in application development and/or CI/CD, automation, and software delivery
Proven experience improving engineering processes, SDLC practices, or software delivery models in larger organizations
Strong understanding of modern SDLC, DevOps, DevSecOps, testing, code quality, and release practices
Ability to analyse both technical and organizational factors impacting software delivery
Proficiency in creating visual presentations
Confidence working with developers, architects, managers, and senior stakeholders
Good interpersonal communication skills
Fluent English in an international working environment
Nice to have
Experience in consulting or transformation roles
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
Familiarity with engineering metrics, developer experience, or internal developer platforms
AI-assisted software engineering tools and practices
Responsibilities
Assess current software development and delivery practices across teams
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, quality issues, and SDLC risks
Recommend improvements across development processes, tooling, CI/CD, quality, governance, and collaboration
Help shape a long-term SDLC / DevSecOps transformation roadmap with clear priorities and measurable outcomes
Advise on modern engineering practices, including automation, developer experience, and AI-supported development workflows
Support stakeholders in turning assessment findings into realistic improvement plans
