We are seeking a visionary Senior/Director Product Designer to join our dynamic team and lead the design efforts that will shape the future of social interaction. While our business is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, we work remotely, and our Engineering and Product team is located in Europe, largely in Poland.

Job Description:

As the Senior/Director Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of our design strategy, joining a talented team to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. You will collaborate closely with the Director of UX, Product Managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative user experiences that enhance our platform. This role is critical in developing and maintaining our design systems and ensuring that our product remains at the cutting edge of design and technology.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is capable of taking direction and working independently to build out a comprehensive set of designs for iOS, Android, and desktop. Preference will be given to those with a background in social media, and/or working knowledge of blockchain, Web3, and cryptocurrency. This is a six month contract with the ability to extend for another six months if we both agree this is a good fit. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Director of User Experience to lead the design team to deliver outstanding UX/UI design solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and translate them into compelling designs.
• Develop and maintain design token systems, guidelines, and best practices.
• Understand and champion accessibility standards across all platforms.
• Drive and implement responsive design solutions across web.
• Create and iterate on interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and gather user feedback.
• Serve as the daily point of contact for design-related questions to help ensure our development workflows are operating efficiently.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, effectively communicating design decisions and rationale.
• Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality design outputs.
• Maintain consistency in visual language and interaction patterns across the product, ensuring brand integrity.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our product remains competitive and user-friendly.
• Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the efficiency and quality of the design team’s output.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years shipping designs in a fast-paced environment. 
• Proven experience in a senior or director-level design role, preferably within a web3 or blockchain-related company.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with iterative design processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior or director-level design role, preference given to those with a web3 or blockchain-related experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and decentralized applications is a plus.
• Expert in Figma.
• Fluent in English.
