Software Architect

What you'll do:

Are you looking for new Python challenges? Just keep reading; we’ve got something you might like.

TL;DR: Python Software Architect in our projects is the principal advisor and mentor for the team. And yes, 100% remote work is possible!

Python Software Architects at Merixstudio may work on several projects simultaneously. Yes, it is challenging, but it also means trying new approaches, working for different branches, and looking for new solutions depending on the project.

You will be responsible for building long-term tech strategies and advising the team on infrastructure, internal processes, security, and databases. Your input in projects will vary, but it will always be considerable. It may include preparing requirements for products/services, co-creating cost-effective solutions that simplify the development process, and, most of all, proposing the use and practical requirements of technological solutions in the field of code, application architecture, or infrastructure for medium and large-scale projects.

As a software architect, you won’t paddle your own canoe, thought. Software architects collaborate with developers, business development teams, scrum masters, and project managers, so you’ll have plenty of room for sharing knowledge and honing skills. Working on a project also means keeping in touch with clients. In your case, these will most likely be CTOs from companies we cooperate; so don’t be surprised we’ll verify your English skills during the recruitment process.

And what can we offer you? When you join Merixstudio, we first and foremost ensure you have everything you need to do your job and show you how we work. When you join a project, the project manager/scrum master is always around to help you if need be. We give you the space to grow as each project means different challenges, teams, and technologies. Knowledge sharing? Sure! We hold weekly meetings and tech streams to learn from each other.

Last but not least, scroll down to find our requirements and benefits, and meet the recruitment team.

Who you are (requirements):

  • you have experience as an architect or tech lead,
  • you have 5+ years of commercial experience in designing, creating and maintaining web applications with scale problems
  • you’re experienced in collecting and analyzing project specifications, customer technological documentation and risks, and developing specifications, schedules, test plans, also technical roadmaps for products.
  • you have highly developed analytical skills and extensive knowledge of technological trends
  • your attitude is that programming language is not the most important, while you know it’s just a tool
  • you’re familiar with cloud solutions (mostly AWS), CI / CD
  • you like to share your knowledge with teams and support them on a daily basis and have ability to present and argue the prepared solutions
  • you have good command of written and spoken English (min B2)
  • you’re well organized :)
