Cloud Administrator (B2B Contract)

The contractor will be responsible for delivering the following services in collaboration with internal teams.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience delivering cloud infrastructure solutions in a similar capacity

• OS Administration: Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration; working knowledge of Linux will be an advantage.

• Cloud Administration: good experience in managing cloud environments, preferably Azure. The biggest advantage will be having recognized certificates in cloud management and/or cloud security. 

• Infrastructure as Code: experience with Azure Bicep or ARM Templates.

• Automation: good scripting skills using PowerShell and Azure/AWS CLI for task automation and resource management

• Microservices: experience with Azure Service Fabric Orchestration and Azure VMSS
  

Additional Experience That Adds Value:

• FinOps: supporting cost optimization and efficient resource usage.

• Governance: experience working with cloud governance frameworks, including their implementation, monitoring, and supporting audit and compliance processes.

• Secondary Cloud Exposure: working knowledge of AWS will be an advantage; exposure to other cloud providers (e.g. Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Alibaba Cloud) is a plus, but not required for day-to-day work.

Scope of Services:

• Infrastructure Management: delivering configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of cloud-based systems, including VMs, Scale Sets, Service Fabric, storage, and networking.

• Security & Access Control: overseeing identity and access management, defining firewall rules, and ensuring alignment with data protection standards.

• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, ensuring high availability, and driving cost optimization initiatives.

• Backup & Disaster Recovery: designing and managing backup solutions, as well as contributing to and maintaining disaster recovery strategies.

• Automation & Deployment: implementing automation for routine operations and ensuring efficient, reliable deployment of cloud resources.

• Troubleshooting: proactively identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues across cloud applications and infrastructure.
