POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION

We are looking for a Java developer to join our professionals and ambitious team. Responsible for building Java applications with experience integrating a content management or customer experience engine [e.g. Adobe Experience Manager, Core Media] with an eCommerce platform. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end (desktop and mobile) counterparts, conception, development, test und rollout of our innovative solution. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and design these applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Your commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and product quality is essential.

JOB PROFILE

Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and developing, core Java
object-oriented programming [Java 8+].
Responsible for generating web services and be part of the team responsible for shaping and building a modern digital and eCommerce platform.
Coding and implementation of Java web applications for commercial mobile or web-based applications.
Strong knowledge and experience in Node.js and Java frameworks [is a plus].
Your colleagues are backend, frontend and UI/UX designers, mobile and web developers.
[back-end services for web and mobile applications].
You deliver high quality software within an Agile/Scrum development team to support successfully deliver the clients eCommerce CI/CD pipelines, visions, and innovations.
You are involved in all aspects of software development with serverless architectures.
Developing REST web services, HTTP, Servlet, JAX-RS, JPA and JMS are crucial.
Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra and CouchDB [preferred].
Knowledge of JSON and XML experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, ORM and/or JDBC.
You’ll have the opportunity to apply the latest technology trends to the clients solution including building a containerised, distributed, API-driven and service-based eCommerce architecture hosted in the cloud [is a plus]
You are passionate and have ambitions to work in an International Agile development environment using a TDD approach [Junit and Mockito].
Design and use of databases in a commercial web implementation [is a must].
Experience with server-side Java with Spring or other frameworks.
Proven knowledge and experience in Git SCM [preferred].

Higher professional education [Bachelor degree “Informatics” or higher in computer science or similar studies].
An experienced Java [web] application developer.
