Job description
As a Technical Product Owner at Manigo you will be responsible for the day-today management of the Development Team. You will closely collaborate with our Product Manager and transform the business vision into low-level system requirements, and further describe them in form of tasks/user stories for the Development Team. You will maintain the JIRA backlog and participate/lead in SCRUM ceremonies. You will help with the technical documentation and explanation to Developers what we want to build and why. You will be a bridge between the business and development teams.
Selected tasks and responsibilities:
- Participation in SCRUM ceremonies as a Product Owner
- Close collaboration on one side with CPO/Product Manager and on the other with the Development Team
- Transformation of business requirements into User Stories/Tasks for developers with an adequate level of details
- Maintenance of the Product Backlog in JIRA (priorities, epics, dependencies, links to documentation etc.) and managing the sprint opening/closures
- Attendance of Product Backlog Refinement meetings and support in Designing of new features
- Explaining sprint goals and user stories to the Development Team and constant support during sprints
- Reviewing of sprint increments, accepting the deliverables and making sure they meet acceptance criteria
- Preparation, maintenance and quality assurance over the analytical documentation needed for development
- Participation in meetings with clients in order to help in integration aspects, explain low-level details of the products or gather requirements directly
- Support in manual testing of different screens, forms and backend structures
- Support in GUI prototyping and design
- Involvement in additional tasks, e.g. user manuals, testing, researching etc. depending on the current project needs
The following skills/attributes will be useful in this role:
- Strong experience with SCRUM and design thinking
- Practical experience in projects for financial institutions in the role of Product Owner / IT Analyst / Technical Project Manager
- Technical background (e.g. bachelor’s or master’s degree from information technology, information management or similar)
- Familiarity with any of the following areas: payments processing; international payment schemes; currency conversions; acquiring; payment cards; opportunity to work with core banking systems and payment gateways; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Know Your Customer/Business (KYC/KYB)
- Familiarity with UML and BPMN notations
- Experience with SQL queries and data analysis
- Manual testing experience
- Experience in UX design and working with frontend applications
- Analytical thinking and strong orientation to details
- Flexibility and can-do attitude
- Being eager for constant personal development and to learn new stuff
- Written and spoken fluency in English (a must)
