Job description

We are looking for Python/Django developers for our team in Łódź. We create bespoke, tailored-made web and mobile applications for clients from all over the world. You will find out more about us in our website and in our Clutch profile.

What you will do:

  • Develop Django apps based on the tasks assigned by PM
  • Perform code review for projects or features made by other team members
  • Use English documentation wisely

We expect you to be:

  • skilled in Python/Django, sufficiently for implementing features of Django apps without constant supervision
  • experienced in using relational databases and SQL (particularly PostgreSQL/MySQL) - obviously, we use built-in Django ORM, but it is good to know what happens within the DB
  • a team player - most of our projects involve 2 to 4 people
  • fluent in reading and writing documentation in English, but it is nice to have a communication skill too, as it is sometimes required to speak with technical employees of our clients

Benefits:

  • Flexible form of employment (UoP/B2B/UoZ)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Job in the city centre
  • Nice office with plenty of space to chill out before/after and during work :)
  • A rarely changing team (on average, our people have been working in Makimo for over 4 years out of 7 years of company's existence)
  • Good vibe in the office
  • Free parking spots in the vicinity of the office

What we use:

  • Python 3.x (Python 2.x in legacy projects)
  • Django
  • Mostly PostgreSQL, rarely MySQL
  • For deployment: our own hosting and sometimes AWS
  • In the front-end, we use React and Angular
  • JIRA and Bitbucket (obligatory code review)
  • Git (git-flow specifically)

Remote work: up to 2 days/16 hours per week (40%)
