PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project team will be closely working with one of the biggest international banks in the investment banking. Regular duties will include working on few core banking systems which are growing because of extending the business. The project allows dealing with complex enterprise level applications with Kafka as a backbone.
You’ll be working as part of the GED Platform Services development team in Wroclaw. The Wroclaw team is part of a broader global team delivering the technology solutions for booking and lifecycle management systems. GED Platform Services is commonly used platform and shared services used by wider number of applications involved in trade bookings and lifecycle management. It's responsible for building infrastructure and commonly used micro-services along with libraries to be used within this platform.

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL LOOK LIKE:
- be responsible for all aspects of the development lifecycle from analysis through to testing, delivery and support
- analyze business requirements for the trading systems in Equity Derivatives department
- provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
- analyze root causes of incidents and help users to better understand the application
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:
Must have
- very strong hands-on experience of messaging technologies, especially Kafka
- strong server-side Java development skills, including expertise in multi-threaded programming and NIO
- hands-on experience with agile methodologies, continuous integration and Test or Behaviour driven development
- understanding cloud technologies and micro-services architecture
- hands-on experience with Linux servers
- successfully applied solutions to meet non-functional requirements including stability, capacity and scalability
- proficiency in relational and non-relational databases with proper usage classifications
- strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the desire to work as part of a global team
