PROJECT DESCRIPTION
DevOps team supporting a trading desk using the SunGard Front Arena system. This is used for trading a variety of products in Equities and Fixed Income + derivatives.
Leading global IT consultancy company operating in more than 50 countries is looking for Front Arena specialist combining Business Analyst and Developers skills who will be supporting and enhancing the application for our clients in financial domain.
The application is used by trading desks, middle office and back office departments. It is deeply integrated with other applications via different technologies and has plenty of customization (mostly written in Python).
Wide variety of financial products (fixed income, equities, derivatives) are configured and require respective solutions for valuations, risk assessment, scenarios.
Work in a multinational environment with respective values and opportunities. The teams follow agile methodologies of software delivery (both Scrum and Kanban).

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL LOOK LIKE:
On a day-to-day activities you will be responsible for designing and implementing different solutions via conducting Business Analysis, Development, QA and Release Management activities as well as configuration of the complex financial instruments and useful tools.
You will be in touch with business users and other IT departments to understand and document the problem requiring solution. In some cases the environment need to be configured or particular module enhanced or written in Python.
Writing SQL (as well as asql) requests, Wiki management, report creation applying ADFL are also part of daily work.
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

Proven experience in IT Business Analyst or equivalent role, within a global IT organisation working in an international environment
Knowledge and experience of using Python (medium level)
Experience working in Financial Services/Capital Markets (Understanding of trade life cycle, common financial instruments and derivatives concept)
Experience working with SVN/Turtoise Jira/Wiki/FishEye
Self-motivated and a team player with good problem solving skills
Fluent written and spoken English, excellent communication skills
Proven experience in IT Business Analyst or equivalent role, within a global IT organisation working in an international environment
Knowledge and experience of using Python (medium level)
