Position Summary

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Work in a team of 5-6 DevOps Engineers, a cohesive group of Engineers in a global setup.
• Support Dev teams in troubleshooting applications and implementing services.
• Provide support to Dev teams and Production Support, managing big data, Kubernetes, GitLab, serverless architecture, and build automation.
• Be the second line of defence as it relates to supporting Engineering teams and be able to work on automation, production support escalation, deployments, and making consequential decisions under pressure
• Work closely with data of various forms (structured and unstructured), blockchain data, pricing data, crypto asset data and be able to support the most efficient technology approaches for ingesting, managing, distributing, and securing data.
• Work with the team on maturing development practices, assisting with technical initiatives, and contributing to the long-term vision of the wider Engineering department

What You'll Need:

• 4+ years of work experience building, scaling and maintaining production services, and understanding of how to compose a microservice or serverless architecture.
• 2+ years of experience working on distributed systems, with knowledge of how such systems are maximized for performance, availability and fault tolerance, and properly instrumented for monitoring health and readiness.
• A university degree, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent commercial experience.
• Working knowledge of DevOps.
• Some background working in partnership with other groups within the organizations such as Product, Operations, Support, and Development.
• Understanding of communication protocols, particularly REST and gRPC.
• Understanding of asynchronous event processing.
• RDBMS familiarity, with experience using database queries.
• Able to do system and network administration.
• Background in maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab preferred.
• Background in Cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS. Kubernetes and Terraform experience is expected. Serverless would be nice to have.
• Excellent communication skills, team-first mentality, mission-oriented, humble, positive attitude, great composure under pressure. A hands-on, thought leader.
