    Job description

    We are looking for an IT Operations Manager to join our team in Gdańsk. A person in this position needs to be communicative, independent, and responsible. We are looking for someone who will be able to think outside the box to resolve problems and reach out to other specialists to coordinate any needed actions. IT Operations Manager will work under increased availability and closely co-operate with other Ops Managers in Barcelona and Frankfurt. Business trips to other locations will occur frequently.     Why do we need you?


    You will:

    • Be on-call every three weeks for a week,
    • Be the point of contact for a team of nearshore operators.
    • Monitor the middleware infrastructure and components, and support resolving system issues.
    • Check the performance, the capacity and help forecasting the future needs in operational support.
    • Provide best practices to run the system stable and smooth.
    • Communicate risks, issues, challenges, and status/progress of the incidents raised.
    • Help ensuring that the systems are secure, consistent, and reliable.
    • Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers.
    • Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed according to legal and company guidelines.


    Who are you?


    You have:

    • At least 2 years of experience providing support on incidents (hands on experience as operator is a plus).
    • Basic knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
    • Basic understanding of middleware technologies: APIs, Batch transfers, messaging, streaming.
    • Basic understanding of middleware technology stack: Java or .NET, XML, JSP or ASP, JavaScript, or VB Script and Node.js; WSDL/SOAP/XML and REST/JSON or equivalent.
    • Experience with Tibco stack is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of containers architecture.
    • Basic understanding of security and identity protocols such as OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSO, PKI (encryption and key management) is a plus.
    • Knowledge in REST design and implementation and system integration (SOA is nice to have).
    • Ability to manage multiple incidents / changes simultaneously.
    • Excellent command of the English and Polish language.
