Job description

Cloud Architect

Location: Warszawa

Role Purpose:

To help develop the platform engineering team by implementing exciting technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Containers, running on the Cloud with AWS and Azure. Working with our developers to move our platforms forward by using the latest technology such as Serverless.

Scope:

Experience of working with AWS and traditional data centres
Demonstrate proficiency in writing build and deployment automations, ideally with TeamCity
Develop tools to enhance overall team productivity and operations
Strong database knowledge, specifically SQL Server and MySQL
Good grasp of Linux systems, networking and security
Implement monitoring for all components of technology stack
Experience managing source in git (e.g. Bitbucket, branching, merging, etc.)
Experience in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues in AWS and traditional datacentres
Experience of maintaining and debugging systems in Java, .NET and PHP environments

Accountabilities:

Ensuring that we are compliant and secure for all applications
Ensure that the company is driving value from the digital eco system that we create and develop
Provide 4th level application and infrastructure on-call support for company systems

Skills & Experience required:

3+ years in a technical build, automation & release engineering
Experience of mentoring junior team members
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
A true self-starter with amazing problem solving and troubleshooting skills
In-depth understanding of AWS service offering
Technical experience and knowledge of internet technologies
(HTTP, JavaScript, HTML)
Experience with SQL Server and MySQL database
Experience with CDN technologies, caching strategies,
web services, performance optimization and scaling strategies
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral)
and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills

Skills & Experience preferred:

Good knowledge of JAVA, PHP, .NET, Node.js
Experience with CMS systems
Experience using Chef / Puppet / Ansible
Experience using Cloudformation / Terraform
