QA Engineer (Automation)

Position Summary:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and seasoned Senior QA Engineer to lead both manual and automated testing initiatives across our suite of products. In this key role, you’ll help ensure our global medical device software is dependable, secure, and intuitive for end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and reusable test cases.

• Build and oversee automated testing frameworks to support continuous integration and deployment.

• Conduct various testing activities, including functional, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX teams to ensure product quality at every stage.

• Accurately document and track issues with clear, reproducible steps.

• Contribute to shift-left testing practices and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.

• Log, monitor, and verify defects while ensuring timely resolution.

• Engage in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to refine QA processes.

• Continuously improve QA tools, workflows, and practices within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in QA automation.

• Strong practical experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.

• Proficiency with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with CI tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

• Skilled in API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI, and performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.

• Strong SQL skills for validating data integrity.

• Familiarity with security and compliance testing standards (e.g., OWASP, GDPR).

• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication abilities.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Comfortable collaborating across time zones, particularly with teams in Pakistan and the United States.
