Java Architect

The Role

As a Java Architect within the Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) Consulting team, you'll be involved in multiple BCM projects, working closely with agile teams to meet both project and client objectives. You'll contribute to business transformation efforts by leveraging advanced technology stacks to develop innovative solutions, while collaborating with industry-leading professionals. As part of our global team, you will work on international projects, using cutting-edge data technologies and cloud platforms. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in growing the BCM competency by partnering with global teams on sales, business development, and recruitment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an Architect and/or Technical Lead on various technical streams of BCM projects.
• Help build BCM capabilities in Poland and the EMEIA region.
• Engage with on-site teams and clients' technical stakeholders.
• Oversee project deliverables and timelines.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams.
• Be open to travel when needed for client engagements.
• Contribute to company-wide initiatives, including people development.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Strong experience in the Banking sector, covering areas such as Retail, Corporate, Internet and Mobile Banking, Wealth Management, and Payment systems.
• Expertise in core technologies: Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Microservices, Web Services (REST & SOAP), Apache Camel, Kafka.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to design solutions for external integrations.
• Understanding of Core Banking systems, architecture, configuration, and data structures.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
• Over 9 years of experience in a similar role within corporate IT.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS/Azure Cloud, Angular, or React.
• Banking industry certifications.
• Experience in agile/scrum methodologies and client-facing roles.
• Fluency in German, French, or Spanish is a plus.
