Role Overview: As an IP Security System Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and validating secure communication solutions for automotive IP systems. Your work will ensure that our automotive products are protected by robust IPsec protocols, leveraging tools such as strongSwan, AUTOSAR standards, and end-to-end (E2E) security measures. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate security solutions that meet the highest industry standards for safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
- Develop and implement IP security architectures tailored for automotive systems, focusing on secure IPsec communication and data protection.
- Integrate and configure strongSwan to secure IPsec communication within the AUTOSAR framework.
- Apply AUTOSAR R19 standards to ensure compliance and smooth integration with existing automotive software platforms.
- Design and implement data protection measures to safeguard integrity, confidentiality, and availability across vehicle networks.
- Configure Security Associations (SAs) and Internet Key Exchange (IKE) parameters for IPsec communication.
Validation and Testing:
- Validate and test IPsec security solutions, ensuring they meet rigorous automotive standards.
- Conduct E2E security testing, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Utilize tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, and Nessus to analyze and validate the integrity of secure communication channels.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including security design specifications, validation plans, and test reports.
- Ensure all security implementations adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, and AUTOSAR.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate closely with software developers, system architects, and project managers to integrate security solutions into automotive systems.
- Provide expert guidance on security-related challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Specialization in cybersecurity, network security, or automotive security is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in IPsec and automotive security implementations.
- Strong knowledge of strongSwan, AUTOSAR, and relevant automotive communication protocols.
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to automotive security.
