Role Purpose

The Digital Business Partner for Industrial Operations acts as a key connector between the business and the Digital organization, with a primary focus on Manufacturing and Supply Chain areas.

The role is responsible for capturing operational and business requirements and translating them into actionable digital solutions that generate tangible business impact and value. It plays an important role in shaping and driving the digital agenda for Industrial Operations, ensuring alignment between operational priorities and available digital capabilities.

A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all initiatives comply with relevant regulatory, quality, security, and IT/OT standards, including GMP, GxP, and data integrity requirements. The Digital Business Partner represents the Digital function within Industrial Operations and ensures effective alignment between business expectations and digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Digital contact point for Industrial Operations, acting as the central interface between business and Digital teams

  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with leadership and key stakeholders across Manufacturing and Supply Chain

  • Capture, structure, and prioritize business needs, challenges, and opportunities for digital enablement in line with strategic objectives

  • Translate business requirements into clearly defined digital use cases, business cases, and measurable value outcomes, taking accountability for value realization

  • Act as an intermediary between business and Digital teams, aligning different perspectives, priorities, and risk considerations in a regulated environment

  • Co-design and support digital solutions and innovation initiatives with the business, ensuring scalability and alignment across sites and functions

  • Manage and balance business expectations regarding scope, value, cost, timing, risk, and compliance constraints

  • Represent Industrial Operations within Digital governance structures, ensuring demand is aligned with digital strategy and delivery capacity

  • Ensure that implemented solutions meet regulatory, quality, security, and operational continuity requirements

  • Work closely with architecture, security, quality, and governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and frameworks

  • Encourage continuous improvement by identifying incremental digital opportunities beyond large transformation programs

  • Support risk-aware decision-making, considering operational, cybersecurity, and compliance aspects

  • Contribute to digital roadmaps, budgeting processes, capability planning, and definition of project scope and success criteria

  • Identify and promote reuse and synergy opportunities across Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain domains

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Digital / IT Business Partnering

  • Digital / IT roles within regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, FMCG)

  • Practical experience in delivering digital or OT/IT initiatives within manufacturing or supply chain environments

  • Background in improving business processes through digital solutions

Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of industrial operations, logistics, and quality processes within pharmaceutical manufacturing

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical production environments

  • Knowledge of GMP, GxP, and data integrity principles in the context of digital-business collaboration

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
