Data Center Engineer – Storage & Backup

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Engineer specializing in Storage and Backup to support the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise storage and data protection systems in a mission-critical data center environment. This role involves hands-on management of storage platforms, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup infrastructures
• Perform provisioning, configuration, and optimization of storage volumes and data replication
• Administer and support backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)
• Troubleshoot storage-related issues and ensure system uptime in high-availability environments
• Collaborate with server, virtualization, and network teams on integrated infrastructure support
• Ensure compliance with data retention, security, and recovery policies
• Execute regular testing of disaster recovery procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports

Requirements:

• Proven experience with enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM)
• Solid understanding of backup and restore methodologies, media management, and archiving
• Knowledge of storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS) and RAID technologies
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for storage tasks
• Understanding of ITIL processes and experience in large-scale data center operations
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation
• Industry certifications (e.g. SNIA, NetApp, EMC) are a plus
