Cloud Architecture - AWS Expert

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architecture AWS Expert to join a dynamic project focused on designing and optimizing AWS-based cloud architectures. This role offers a part-time commitment (24-32 hours/week) over 7 months, with most work being done remotely, and occasional travel to Munich for workshops. You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, and other teams to define, model, and align current and target architectures, while actively contributing to key project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define as-is architecture: Work with stakeholders to define the existing architecture landscape.
• Model as-is architecture: Create models of the current architecture using tools like ArchiMate (or similar).
• Design target architecture: Align and model the target architecture in collaboration with lead enterprise architects.
• Requirement gathering: Work with stakeholder teams to collect and define requirements.
• Contribute to key deliverables: Actively support central project outputs, such as the separation objects list, ensuring consistency across documentation.
• Prepare decision papers: Develop architecture options and decision papers covering technical, operational, and financial considerations.

Mandatory Skills:

• AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of the AWS portfolio and ecosystem.
• FinOps Skills: Understanding of price drivers and cloud cost management (Financial Operations).
• Modelling Skills: Proficiency in architectural modeling tools, preferably ArchiMate, but openness to other tools will be considered.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of German (not mandatory, but advantageous).
• Experience in collaborating with enterprise architects and contributing to large-scale cloud migration or architecture design projects.
