Application Manager + German
As an IT Application Manager with proven experience and high motivation, you are able to work along various areas of business and IT requirements with surrounding applications and platforms. Additionally, you should support various DevOps activities to improve and enhance the daily business and operation mode. You will deal with our vendors, investigate any issues in the live environment and raise change or support requests, where appropriate. The role requires effective and regular communication with various Business Units and Corporate Functions located in Zurich.
What You Will Do
- Daily administration of Applications and Services performing changes within span of control or in coordination with the IT system management.
- Providing operational support for all processes running in the live environment incl. exception management. Manage technical as well as commercial relationships and liaise with internal customers and external suppliers to build a strong relationship.
- Ensure a stable operation of the services in compliance with Service Level Agreements as well as documentation (installation, operation, migration, backup, etc.).
- Support of users in the use the services as well as further development of the current solutions for specific requirements of our internal customers.
What You Bring
- Several years of work experience as an Application Manager with Audit & Compliance, Role Management.
- Broad IT knowledge such as:
- Windows Server - very good knowledge, as applications run on Windows servers
- Network, Proxy, Firewall, Linux, Database - know-how to be able to identify problems, formulate them and direct them to the appropriate team
- Automation - good knowledge to identify what can be automated.
- Strong understanding of best practices within the design and development lifecycle of services. Good technical understanding and comprehensive, analytical as well as conceptual skills to take over, monitor and further develop an existing environment.
- Innovative team player who proactively seeks and successfully implements good solutions while keeping the company's overall interests in mind.
- An IT Bachelor's degree or higher education in a related field or equivalent.
- Very good verbal and written skills in English and German.
