Hi! We are LeoVegas Group 🦁 - a premier iGaming company based in Sweden. LeoVegas offers casino, live casino and sports gaming. Our technology development is conducted mostly in Sweden, while operations are based in Malta. From the beginning of 2022, we are also building a Tech Hub in Poland! 🇵🇱



The role


LeoVegas Group is building something special – a world-class team dedicated to driving player engagement and loyalty through cutting-edge technology and innovative gaming experiences. To lead the charge, we're searching for a passionate and driven Engineering Manager to build and guide our brand-new Retention/iGaming team. The EM will oversee new teams established in Malaga and Poland, focusing on PAM, Retention/Bonuses and iGaming parts of the platform.



YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:


  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of senior engineers. While not directly coding on a daily basis, you will contribute your expertise to architectural decisions, code reviews, and the establishment of engineering best practices.
  • Leading the knowledge transfer and ownership of a well-documented, robust codebase currently maintained by a highly experienced team. You'll guide your new team through a comprehensive onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Champion a culture of engineering excellence by defining and implementing processes that enhance code quality, development efficiency, and team collaboration.
  • Lead with a people-first approach. You will be responsible for all aspects of people management, including performance evaluations, development plans, 1:1s and fostering a positive and empowering work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with product management to provide technical insights and contribute to the definition of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment between engineering capabilities and business goals.



Our expectations


ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Solid engineering background, spending at least 5+ years working as an engineer (Java or any other JVM language)
  • Experience with microservices-based products
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team lead
  • People management experience (leading 121s, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Experience with establishing and tracking Engineering Delivery Plans


NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience managing more than one single team



 What we offer:

 

  • 💸 monthly salary: 28 000 - 35 000 PLN net + VAT (B2B) OR 23 500 - 29 000 PLN gross (UOP)
  • we work in a hybrid model. We would like you to show up in our Warsaw office three times a week, the rest of the days of the week are up to you,
  • we work in European office hours,
