We are on the lookout for a talented Cloud Data Engineer for our esteemed Client in the banking industry. Join our dynamic team at DW & Analytics, where we craft cutting-edge Data and Analytical solutions for Group Finance. Your primary role will involve crafting and maintaining intricate data pipelines within our state-of-the-art Snowflake data warehouse. By seamlessly loading and extracting data from source to target, you will empower your team of BI developers to generate insightful Power BI reports. Your expertise will be pivotal as you spearhead new data loads, drawing upon your extensive knowledge to design robust and scalable ELT/ETL solutions.
Key Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (1-3 years), adept at implementing SPs and UDFs
- Extensive background in Data Warehouse solutions pre-Snowflake (10+ years)
- Proficiency in designing and executing ELT/ETL flows
- Proficient in navigating Snowflake, including metadata examination and SQL/JS object interpretation
- Proficiency in Confluence
- Practical understanding of git
- Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and methodologies
- Profound grasp of Data Integration concepts (streaming, batch)
- Familiarity with DataStage structures such as sequences and jobs
- Exposure to DataStage is advantageous
- Mastery of SQL
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective ETL solutions
- Strong communication skills and exceptional organizational abilities
- A knack for problem-solving and delving into complex challenges
