Job description
The Solution Engineer will partner with business leaders to create and implement technical & business process solutions enabling frictionless digital analytics. This role is viewed as an expert in complex analytical reporting solutions and digital analytics platforms, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. As part of this team, the Solution Engineer is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solutions primarily for Trade Promotion Management and Optimization, Revenue Growth Management and Pricing/Price Optimization and in some cases, cross capability areas. The role collaborates with IT application Functional Engineers and business/functional subject matter experts as well as Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects and Analytics Designers.

- Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical areas with a wide range of complexity preferably within Analytical Projects. Technical solution engineer and leader of medium to complex analytical projects for a specific business capability or across multiple capabilities and technologies such as Tableau, SAP BoBJ, PowerBI and platforms like SAP HANA, SAP BO, SAP BW, SQL Server, Azure Cloud, among others.
- Translates non-functional and functional requirements into end-to-end analytical solution designs, ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes, uses and provides enterprise information consistently, integrates effectively with other applications, supports a common application environment and user interaction model.
- Collaborates with other Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architecture to make sure that solutions fit within enterprise context and aims for standardization of solutions across K-C’s application landscape.
- Coordinates medium to complex solution architecture implementations while leading design variances based upon business needs while ensuring artifacts are documented in enterprise architecture repository.
- Coordinates engagements with vendors as they relate to the evaluation, design, and delivery of business capabilities. Contributes to the evaluation and selection of software product standards.
- Participant in industry representation, policy formation, User Groups, and strategic direction.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- 5+ years of continuous experience in software engineering, software development, and solution implementation focused on implementing Analytics solutions. This includes designing, developing, and implementing Tableau, BOBJ BI, Power BI, SAP Analytics, SAP Business Intelligence (BI/BOBJ) and other analytical solutions using the best-practice methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in Analytics Project including at least one of the following technologies SAP BW, SAP HANA, SQL Server, Azure Cloud, BODS, SAP Analytics, Tableau.
- Strong experience in Analytical modeling and implementation of an Analytical Tool such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics or BOBJ Bi is a must.
- Nice to have hands-on experience in Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO), Revenue Management (RM) and related Analytics, and Pricing/Price optimization.
- Has strong leadership skills and exhibit creative thinking to be able to come up with inventive solutions to solve business challenges.
- Experience with integration methods and tools including ETL and virtualization.
- Strong technical leadership in delivery teams and partnerships with vendors. Experience delivering IT projects and/or programs with strong SDLC understanding, including Agile / Waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding of functional aspects within the Trade Promotion Management, Revenue Management, and Strategic Pricing capability area, and ability to do hands-on technical work whenever needed.
- Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project-based teams.
- Self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization.
- Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
