Juo, a new company by the founders of The Rectangles, is looking for a Full-stack Engineer to join the team in Wrocław (PL), Gdańsk (PL) or remotely.
About us
At Juo we're on a mission to empower every organization to continuously improve their digital products, and understand their users better. We're building an exploration and optimization tool of tomorrow that is already used by several companies across the globe. Juo will solve one critical problem of millions of organizations: the lack of access to optimization insights and automated experimentation.
Juo is every modern marketer's best friend. It's a plug-and-play, no-code, and AI-powered assistant that turns every website into an insight-generating, optimization playground.
The team
Over the past few years, we've worked together as UX and CRO consultants with hundreds of global SaaS and eCommerce companies. Our comprehensive team is built of experienced entrepreneurs, researchers, analysts, designers and developers.
Some frameworks we developed have been used by many great organizations of all sizes, including NASA (that's right), Sundose, or Nested.
We value teamwork, creativity, optimism, and the courage to take ownership of your work. If you share these values — we'd love you to help us grow.
Our team is backed by amazing investors, business angels, and hands-on advisors that have worked with such companies as Allegro, Delivery Hero, Smyk, Symmetrical, and more.
It’s an exciting time to join our team. We've just raised a sizeable pre-seed round and are ready to build traction and push the Juo magic into the world.
The role: Full-stack Engineer
Why this role
Engineers don't get enough credit for creativity. Not here. We recognize software engineers as creators that can build something remarkable from scratch. We're looking for an ambitious individual who will help us build Juo — by being a co-creator, not only an executor. We don't put ourselves into any box or "stack". Instead, each of us participates in product development as broadly as possible, using the stack that works best for the given objective.
This role will:
- Play a major part in the development of our product (not only by delivering its new features)
- Have a lot of freedom and ownership in day-to-day tasks
- Help you broaden your current superpowers with the new exciting ones
- Support Juo at a very magical, early-life-of-a-startup time
About the role
You'll be one of the core members of the Juo R&D team, working on developing Juo's current and future features. Your hands-on experience with web development should give you an understanding of every aspect of web applications: from the server to the end user's perspective.
This role is perfect for an individual who wants to have a real impact on a product they're working on. We're looking for a curious problem-solver, who knows how to ask the right questions and where to find answers for them — even if it means digging deep into documentation. We work with technologies that work for us best, so you should be open to getting to know new ones if such a need arises.
You'll be working closely with CTO and developers, as well as other team members and super experienced advisors. If you're always on the lookout for improvements and try to optimize every bit of code you're working on, you'd be a great fit for our team.
Responsibilities:
- Building new features and iteratively improving existing ones basing on end users' feedback
- Finding, investigating, and fixing bugs
- Supporting customers — Juo is a product of customer-driven development, therefore we listen to our users' feedback and fix any problems right after they're reported
- Discussing ideas, solutions and technologies with the team
- Proactively coming up with ideas for development and improvements
Requirements and qualifications:
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, NoSQL databases, automated testing, JS frameworks and microservices architecture is a must; module bundlers (Webpack, Rollup), Kubernetes and event-driven architecture will be a plus
- Broad knowledge of other web technologies and their nuances
- Being able to discuss technical matters with other team members
- Ability to work closely with your teammates from product, design and marketing departments, if needed
- Comfort with working in a lean startup way
- Keeping an open mind when learning new technologies
- Fluency in Polish to easily communicate with the team on a daily basis
Attitude:
We'll enjoy working together if you:
- understand that a team is much more than a sum of its members' skills
- like to work with people and have a natural drive to cooperate
- are always organized and independent in your work if needed
- like hands-on approach
- always look for ways to learn and discover
- believe fair feedback is a bliss
- align yourself with people whose glass is always half full
- define honesty as your core value
What we offer
Building an extraordinary team is a fantastic challenge. We require a lot, but we give back to our teammates as much since they're not company assets, they're founders.
What you'll get:
- Being a part of the team you can trust and rely on
- Taking an active part in building a revolutionary product
- Competitive salary
- Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
- Cool and fully ergonomic office in the city center of Wroclaw (PL) or Gdańsk (PL), but we're open to remote work
- Macbook Pro and all the necessary tools
- 1-on-1 access to company mentors, investors and advisors (e.g. VP of growth at Airalo, ex. sales executive at Delivery Hero, CTO of NoMagic.ai, CEO of Symmetrical.ai)
How to apply
If you feel that this is it, don't hesitate and email us with your resume and any thoughts you'd like to share.
We hate long-drawn-out processes — so usually the whole thing takes ~2 weeks from start to finish. Oh, and we answer every application. If your first email clicks, the next step will be a 60min Zoom with one of us and we'll take it from there.
We're excited to hear from you!
Thank you for your time.
