Job Purpose
Building and maintaining new or existing functionalities of the e-commerce platform
Critical results:
• Participate in implementing technical and process innovations in the organisation
• Design and implement new state of the art technology to address the needs of the business
• Communicate with local business units and central business team to align their requirements to the core platform architecture and technology stack
• Discuss functional requirements and if needed provide quick and efficient proof of concepts to establish the critical business needs
Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1 40 % of time
• Work with business and IT to evolve e-commerce platforms
• Design technical Solutions for new functionality
• Generate and maintain code according to the agreed coding standard and best practises (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, BDD/TDD, Infrastructure As A Code)

• Investigate latest technology and build quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs
• Improve tools and techniques (continuous delivery pipeline) used for software delivery process
• Exhibit and establish a culture of quality and standards in software development

• Investigate, debug and provide fixes for critical production incidents (Tier 3 support)

Required Knowledge and Experience:
• 4+ year experience in Java Programing language (Java 8 +)
• Experience in Java Web technologies - Java EE8/JakartaEE8 (JAX-RS/JPA/JSP/CDI/EJB)
• DB architecture/design in a Oracle environment
• Clear understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Expertise in debugging high traffic and high volume data web site to identify performance and data integrity issues.
• Understanding Clean Code, Clean Architecure principles
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
• Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes knowledge
• Experience building secure web applications, user authentication, encryption techniques
• Wildfly and Linux experience
• Vue.js experience
