We (Hop.City) are a scooter sharing startup company ambitiously tackling challenges and possibilities of sharing economy. We develop our own software for drivers, serviceman, managers, and business analysts. We cooperate with huge international brands in food and parcel delivery which supply us with new and interesting cases for fleet and software usage. We never settle with what is in front of us and always strive for new solutions which yield endless opportunities for learning. Technology we work with:
- Backend - Go, legacy Java (Spring Boot) code
- DevOps - microservices on Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Gitlab Pipelines, Pub/Sub, Rabbit MQ
- Storage - Mongo, AWS S3, others to come
- Tools - Jira, Confluence, Dropbox Paper
What we need from you:
- 2+ years of experience in backend development
- Experience with at last 2 different backend languages (Java, PHP, .Net, Ruby, Python… - we work in Go)
- Understanding of work organisation and team management principles (Agile, Scrum, Kanban...)
- Good English skills
- Curious and restless nature
It would be great if you have prior experience with Go, but it is not necessary. We can wait a moment till you get up to speed :).
Some experience with big data and optimisation algorithms is a plus too.
