Join our DevOps Team immediately on a full-time, remote basis anywhere in Germany or Central Europe as a “Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)“.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate within a platform team to analyze and identify opportunities for the ongoing development of the AWS cloud architecture.
• Proactively develop security, scaling, and automation concepts, focusing on provisioning easily maintainable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for a multi-environment setup.
• Enhance our setup for standardization and developer experience, facilitating the delivery of our developer teams.
• Host, connect, and maintain AWS environments along with third-party services.
• Spearhead the company-wide cloud strategy architecture to align with organizational goals.
• Manage monitoring, reporting, failover, and recovery, including documentation and implementation of regular and proactive audits.
• Provide support to developers, aiding in debugging systematic infrastructure-related problems.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in computer science or a related field, or practical experience as a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d).
• Demonstrate expertise in AWS cloud architecture with hands-on experience.
• Proficient in virtualization, containerization, monitoring, continuous deployment, and integration, preferably using AWS ECS/k8s, Docker, GitLab, and DataDog.
• Familiarity with at least one Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tool.
• Practical experience in at least one programming language commonly used for automation, preferably Python, in conjunction with AWS Lambda and AWS SAM.
• Knowledge of security best practices in an AWS context is a plus.
• Experience with larger networking setups is a plus, including AWS multi-account setup, AWS Transit Gateway, NAT, and AWS Control Tower.
• Strong team player with organizational talent and effective communication skills, demonstrating a passion for knowledge sharing to coach other team members in best practices.
• Fluent in English, with knowledge of German considered a plus.
