ITSG is an innovative software house company operating on the Polish market for over 10 years. We stand out due to the complexity and innovativeness of the completed projects and implemented products for companies from the financial institutions, medicine, pharmacy, telecommunications and media sectors.
We are looking for a competent CTO (Chief Technology Officer) who will be our first technology go-to expert and play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. In this position, you will oversee our overall technology development and technology utilization plan an manage all information technology resources of our company. You will focus on maintaining and improving all technological issues in the company, communicating with employees and partners to make sure our company’s technology is being used effectively. You will be managing our project budgets, oversee estimation and quality and help to deliver ambitious business goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, be a strategic thinker and also an excellent communicator. You should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Physiscs/Mathematics field. We are looking for a CTO with previous experience in a leadership position (5 years minimum), as you will be working as both our technology and business expert alongside our Partners.
Chief Technology Officer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s technological development
- Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
- Collaborating with Partners as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
- Establishing software development process and set objectives for the process
- Mentoring team members
- Reviewing timeframes and budgets
- Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks projects and company-wide
- Representing the company at conferences and networking events
- Develop the technical aspects of our company’s strategy
- Research any new technologies that may potentially increase our company’s competitive advantage
- Reduce the risk of technological breaches
- Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions
- Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
- Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
- Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
- Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
Chief Technology Officer Requirements and Qualifications
- Eight to ten years’ experience in a software development role, information technology role, or related field; five years in management or leadership role
- Previous working experience as a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) for (4+) years is a plus
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or physics/mathematics field
- Experience with technology relative to industry; .Net, C#, SQL Server, Node.JS, Java/C, Angular, React, Vue, AWS, GitHub, Jira
- In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Polish, English)
- Proactive and self-sufficient problem solver
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to delegate efficiently
- Attention to details
- Effective negotiation and vendor management skills is a plus
