Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for experienced team players to fill the Senior Data Engineer position and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the financial industry.

• Optimizing large-scale pipelines for better performance and scalability in financial data processing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Big Data processing
• Expertise in Apache Spark and building large-scale data pipelines
• Experience with SQL, ORC/Parquet formats and data transformation techniques
• Familiarity with user-defined functions (UDFs) and their application in data processing
• Strong skills in performance tuning, including caching and broadcasting
• Experience in designing resilient, fault-tolerant systems
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based data pipelines
• Programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
• Great command of English
• Flexibility for afternoon calls (US time), especially during early project phases
