Senior Automation Engineer

We are looking for experienced team players to fill the Senior Automation Engineer position and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the financial industry.

You can expect:

• Being a key contributor in transforming SQL-based data pipelines to high-performance, scalable Apache Spark systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with Google Cloud Platform, driving future-ready cloud solutions

Requirements

• Proven experience in automated testing for large-scale data pipelines, especially in Apache Spark environments and Big Data platforms
• Familiarity with SQL, ORC and Parquet data formats
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, JUnit, PyTest)
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques like caching and broadcasting in data processinG
• Experience with logging and monitoring solutions
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Flexibility for afternoon calls (US hours), particularly in the project's initial stages
