As a Senior Data & Analytics Solution Architect, you will work for our client, a leader in the banking sector dedicated to transforming data into strategic business assets. Your role will be pivotal in designing cutting-edge solutions that drive data-driven decision-making workflows, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and technological innovation for a dynamic financial environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Rapidly understand business needs by engaging with the Chief Data Office, business users, and subject matter experts.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust solution and functional designs.
- Develop technical and logical architecture templates supporting scalable data solutions.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to development teams and support ongoing implementation.
- Collaborate with production support to ensure maintainability and supportability of delivered solutions.
- Promote best practices, standards, and tools within the architecture community.
- Provide strategic recommendations and develop roadmaps for technology solutions.
- Document best practices and share knowledge across teams.
- Lead process improvements and develop innovative solutions to meet evolving demands.
- Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles, including proof-of-concept projects.
- Review and validate design solutions created by team members.
- Manage detailed end-to-end solution design, addressing architectural risks, issues, and technical debt.
- Ensure cost-effective architecture, supporting agile development and backlog management.
- Facilitate governance reviews and ensure solutions adhere to reference architectures and standards.
- Collaborate with enterprise and platform architects to refine the architectural strategy and roadmap.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect in large, complex, and distributed organizations.
- Proven ability to abstract architectural patterns from technical solutions.
- Strong leadership, presentation skills, and experience communicating with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with streaming technologies: Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub.
- Knowledge of application integration patterns: REST API, Microservices.
- Expertise in database technologies: SQL / NoSQL.
- Background in Data Warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
- Familiarity with Linux, Shell Scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud platforms: GCP, Azure, AWS.
- Experience with Big Data platforms: Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, BQ.
- Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to challenge and refine design decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to independently manage tasks.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Awareness of master data management principles.
- Knowledge of programming languages: Python, Scala, and libraries such as Spark, Pandas.
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies like TOGAF.
