As a Senior AI Tooling Programme Manager, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization committed to driving cutting-edge AI solutions within a highly regulated landscape. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, playing a pivotal role in modernizing and accelerating AI adoption across the bank’s digital ecosystem. Your main responsibilities:
- Drive the successful delivery of AI tooling initiatives, managing dependencies and tracking progress across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain regular engagement with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations effectively.
- Collaborate with vendor partners and internal teams to ensure programme plans are synchronized and deliverables are met.
- Oversee risk, issue, and dependency management, providing timely updates to senior leadership.
- Lead external dependencies by engaging relevant teams and driving actions to resolution.
- Monitor team capacity and workload, identifying resource gaps and advocating for necessary support.
- Ensure compliance with AI control requirements, including access management, cost tracking, cyber controls, and audit readiness.
- Promote delivery at pace by removing blockers, enforcing governance, and fostering accountability within teams.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale programs, ideally in AI, digital transformation, or technology environments.
- Proven leadership skills with extensive stakeholder management experience at all organizational levels.
- Strong vendor management capabilities and experience working with external partners.
- Deep understanding of portfolio management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of AI technologies and the control environment within regulated financial services, including cyber, access, and audit controls.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to challenge estimates and assess delivery risks.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Certifications in project or programme management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial and strategy planning within banking or financial services.
Language Required for the role:
Fluent English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
