Senior AI Technical Lead – Developer Tools & Generative AI

As a Senior AI Technical Lead, you will be working for our client, a major financial institution, focused on revolutionizing the developer experience through cutting-edge AI solutions. Your role is pivotal in driving the adoption of modern engineering toolchains and AI assistants, scaling generative AI initiatives, and fostering innovation across the enterprise.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead the team by improving current workflows and establishing new, more efficient processes to elevate developer productivity.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions supporting enterprise goals.
• Architect and maintain scalable REST APIs, service integrations, and ensure seamless enterprise platform connectivity.
• Explore and prototype emerging AI capabilities, including MCP servers, agentic frameworks, and SDKs, identifying solutions to internal challenges.
• Mentor junior developers and translate business requirements into technical strategies, bridging the gap between product visions and technical implementation.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams within the CTO organization to align strategies and break down silos.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Expertise in Java and Web API development with a focus on scalable, secure backend services.
• Fluency in reading, discussing, and assessing code in at least two of the following: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Deep practical knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Git workflows, and CI/CD automation tools.
• Strong understanding of REST/HTTP, API formats (JSON/YAML), and front-end basics (HTML/CSS).
• Proven experience in distributed system architecture and high-availability design.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity or dedicated DevSecOps roles.
• Familiarity with Go, Rust, or functional languages.
• Interest or experience with generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Knowledge of AI agent frameworks, MCP, or LLM-based automation.
